“Big Bin on Killmotor Hill”

"Big Bin on Killmotor Hill" delivers a classic Carl Barks tale with all the wit and engineering absurdity fans love, as Uncle Scrooge unveils his new Money Bin on Killmotor Hill—booby-trapped, reinforced, and bristling with security. When the Beagle Boys start digging beneath it on the coldest night in Duckburg history, Scrooge’s water-filled solution sets the stage for a chilly, chaotic showdown. The story’s crisp art and tight pacing are all by Barks, with coloring by Susan Daigle-Leach, and the cover by Don Rosa captures the scene’s escalating tension.

Uncle Scrooge introduces Donald and the boys to his new Money Bin atop Killmotor Hill, outfitted with booby traps and burglar deterrents of all sorts. The bin is reinforced with ten-inch thick concrete… except underneath, where the Beagle Boys have begun to tunnel in. To thwart this effort, Scrooge fills the bin with water – on what turns out to be “the coldest night in the history of Duckburg!”
