In "Maharajah Donald," Donald Duck’s misadventures take a wild turn when his nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie trade up from a pencil stub to a steamship ticket to India—only for Donald to seize the ticket for himself, forcing the boys to stow away. Aboard the ship, Donald’s luck runs thin when he’s confronted by the wealthy Maharajah of Hoopadoola, who offers to smooth things over with the steamship line—but only if Donald agrees to a seemingly harmless favor: riding a sacred elephant across a narrow river to a neighboring kingdom.
