Don Winslow of the Navy #21

Don Winslow and Red arrive at the Hopkins Naval Institute to referee the annual mock sea battle between freshman and sophomore cadets aboard two old frigates—but discover that fifty escaped convicts have stowed away aboard one of the ships. When live ammunition suddenly replaces the chalk-tipped training weapons, Don and his crew must figure out what's really happening and stop the criminals before the cadets become collateral damage. It's supposed to be a quiet day of naval tradition, but instead it becomes a desperate race to save the students and recapture the fugitives.

Stranded on a Japanese-held island after their plane is shot down, Don Winslow and Red find themselves caught between enemy soldiers and natives they can't trust—until a brave local boy named Bobi risks everything to help them escape. When the Japs threaten to punish the island's children for aiding the Marines, Don and Red devise a desperate plan to turn the tables and save the people who saved them.
