Doll Man faces off against his arch-enemy the Minstrel in a colorful battle of the century, with the tiny hero using his superior combat skills and quick thinking to outmaneuver the villain's musical weapon attacks and tricks. The Minstrel attempts to defeat Doll Man multiple times using his banjo as a weapon, but Doll Man persists in his assault. In a subplot, a woman named in the Minstrel's employ becomes conflicted when she discovers a mysterious intruder creeping about, eventually leading to her arrest when Doll Man's presence causes chaos at a crime scene. The issue climaxes with the introduction of the Fool Killer, a dangerous villain who captures Dr. Roberts and confronts a young woman, threatening to use a pressing device as part of his sinister plans.
