In "null," a sentient virus known as Zzagnar spreads through free media, infecting humanity with its narrative, until the Doctor confronts it by forcing the entity into a physical form—where its story is finally judged like any other.

In "Der elektrische Körper," the Doctor and Clara arrive on the harsh, electrically charged plains of Asmoray, where a human crew is harvesting power from the Quartz Wastes—unwittingly ensnaring the planet’s native electrical lifeforms in the process. As tensions rise and the trapped beings begin to react, the duo must find a way to shut down the harvester before the energy imbalance spirals out of control.
