The Doctor enables Frobisher and Olla the Dreilyn to escape. They meet up with the surviving population of A-Lux who finish off the Ice Warrior chasing them. The Ice Warrior leader Arryx reveals to the Doctor that he plans to use A-Lux as a new base to challenge the peace-loving members of his race who joined with the Federation. He leaves the Doctor alone to freeze when the Doctor refuses to explain his presence on this world. When Arryx and his medical aide Ross return, the Doctor is dead!
