Written by Robbie Thompson with art by Javier Rodriguez, the volume collects issues #1-5 of the series, setting the stage for a mystical war against the Empirikul's lingering influence.
In "The Forgotten (Part 1)," Doctor Strange is pulled from the present by the legendary Merlin, who warns of an ancient evil known as The Forgotten. Together, they journey to the past, where Strange joins a dazzling assembly of Sorcerers Supreme across time—among them a future Wiccan, the Demon Rider Kushala, the gun-sword-wielding Nina, a Mindful Mindless One serving Sir Isaac Newton, and a youthful Yao—each summoned to face a threat that spans eras.
In "The Forgotten (Part 2)" from Doctor Strange and the Sorcerers Supreme #1, the Sorcerers Supreme face an overwhelming threat as Merlin falls in battle. With their only hope fading, Wiccan spirits them to Merlin’s hidden home, where Newton urges the group to scour the ancient sorcerer’s library for answers—before the Forgotten claim them all.
In "The Forgotten (Part 3)," Doctor Strange and the Sorcerers Supreme race through Merlin’s ancient library, searching for answers as the mysterious threat known as The Forgotten closes in. Amid the crumbling tomes and hidden wards, Nina and Newton each uncover something personal—something they choose not to share. Strange, meanwhile, stumbles upon a cryptic list of names and places, penned by Merlin himself, that may hold the key to their survival.
In "The Forgotten (Part 5)," Newton's past unfolds as he recalls his early steps toward magical mastery—his first encounter with Doctor Strange and Clea shaping the path he now walks. Trapped with the other Sorcerers Supreme, Nina reaches out to her brother Joao, recently freed from the grip of The Forgotten, hoping his newfound freedom might hold the key to their salvation.
In "null," Dr. Strange and the Sorcerers Supreme are trapped in a collapsing supernatural portal after the betrayal of Isaac Newton, stranded in a realm where the rules of reality have unraveled. With no clear path forward and the fabric of existence fraying around them, their survival depends on unraveling the mystery of the void itself.
