Doc Savage finds himself in a genuinely dire spot on this Wilfredo Torres cover — the bronze hero lies prone and seemingly ensnared while an enormous, multi-eyed spider looms above him on a vast web, its hairy legs spanning the entire composition. The cool blue palette and vertiginous overhead angle give the scene a real sense of dread, perfectly capturing the menace promised by the "Spider's Web" title. Chris Roberson and Cezar Razek continue their run with Dynamite's pulp adventure series, and if this cover is any indication, issue #2 keeps the tension wound tight.
