Do-Do #4
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeAn anthology of animal circus humor stories featuring Do-Do and other animal characters. The main story, "It Pastes to Advertise," involves Do-Do's circus facing competition from the Ting-Aling Bros. Circus, which opens in town the same day; the Do-Do circus characters must rescue Miss Dolly, and Do-Do interrupts a wedding ceremony to stop the proceedings. The issue includes other advertised stories such as "The Dyna-Mite Dive," "Dodo's Troubles Are Clover," "Puzzle Coloring Page," and "Gypsy Daze," along with a coloring activity featuring Do-Do, Dolly, and the twins.
When a rival circus sets up shop next door with slick posters plastered all over town, Do-Do and the crew scramble to get their own promotional materials up—but a sneaky spy sabotages them by switching the bills. After accidentally advertising the competition, Do-Do concocts a clever (if chaotic) solution involving paint, mischief, and a bit of quick thinking to turn the tables and save the show. It's a high-energy romp through the cutthroat world of circus rivalry, complete with the slapstick hijinks and animal antics that make this 1951 tale a riotous good time.
When two young animal friends sneak into Madame Zimba's fortune-telling wagon to steal a look at her crystal ball, they're caught red-handed and dragged into a gypsy camp where they discover a friend has been taken prisoner by the gypsy king—and a wedding is about to happen. Do-Do and the twins must find a way to stop the ceremony and rescue their friend before the gypsy king's plans come to pass.
