Dixie Dugan #4

Dixie Dugan becomes interested in engineering after meeting a young engineer and touring a construction site, deciding to pursue the field despite initial doubts about women in that profession. When she becomes engaged to the engineer, Steve, her scheming cousin Clarissa attempts to break them apart by making Steve think Dixie has changed into an undesirable woman. After various romantic complications and misunderstandings, Dixie ultimately wins Steve back and the two reconcile, with Steve proposing marriage to her by the story's end.
