Die Vorstadtgang #1

This 1985 Carlsen Comics release brings French cartoonist Frank Margerin's suburban youth culture to German-speaking readers, collected here as the first volume of Die Vorstadtgang. Margerin, who handles both the writing and the full artwork, brings his distinctively expressive ligne claire-influenced style to the story "Der Zug" and its cast of working-class neighborhood characters. A fine introduction to one of the more charming voices in European comics of the era.
