A handsome German-language archive volume from Salleck Publications, this twenty-second installment of Will Eisner's Spirit Archive collects the newspaper strips from 7. Januar bis 24. Juni 1951. The cover presents a striking close-up of the Spirit himself — masked, trench-coated, and coolly commanding — rendered in bold black, white, and red against a noir-drenched backdrop, with the word "RIFE" looming large and the subtitle "Gangsterjäger und Moderner Robin Hood" leaving no doubt about the hero's reputation.
