In "Der Kampf der Echsen-Männer," Spider-Man faces a prehistoric onslaught when Stegron unleashes his Retro-Generation Ray, reanimating dinosaur skeletons into living monsters during a snowstorm in Manhattan. As a Tyrannosaurus Rex, Brontosaurus, Triceratops, and Stegosaurus rampage through the city, Spider-Man fights to protect civilians—including Billy Connors—while Curt Connors works to reverse the transformation. With the battle raging under icy skies, Stegron flees, only to vanish into the frozen river beneath him.
