Die!Die!Die! #6

Robert Kirkman and Scott M. Gimple's gleefully unhinged Skybound series barrels into its sixth issue with a cover by Chris Burnham that says everything you need to know: three intense, bloodied fighters are mid-combat above a sea of cats — and yes, the cover itself pauses to warn you to appreciate those beautiful, precious cats. Burnham's linework crackles with kinetic energy, bodies flying and weapons swinging while a crowd of blissfully unaware felines fills the foreground, completely unbothered by the carnage above them. Nathan Fairbairn's colors give the whole scene a lurid, neon-tinged punch that makes this one of 2018's more memorably chaotic covers.
