Die #20 brings Kieron Gillen, Stephanie Hans, and letterer Clayton Cowles to the penultimate stretch of this darkly imaginative series with a cover that is all atmosphere and dread. Hans's design strips everything back to pure geometry — a glowing red star-shape dominates the black field, its triangular faces catching a single beam of crimson light, with the number 20 set in a sharp grey triangle at the center like a face on a die. It's a quietly arresting image that captures exactly the kind of elegant menace this series does so well, and "Open Table" promises the story inside is no less compelling.
