Dick Tracy Monthly #20

Oct 1987 · Blackthorne · 2.00 USD; 2.75 CAD

In Dick Tracy Monthly #20 (1987), Chester Gould delivers a tense, emotionally charged chapter as Muggs thwarts T V Wiggles’ deadly plot against Sparkle—only for Wiggles to take her hostage. With Tracy and B O Plenty closing in, a violent showdown ends in tragedy and sacrifice, leaving B O critically injured. When Sparkle’s singing awakens her father from a coma, the moment feels almost miraculous—though Dr. Plain’s unsettling attempts to gain Tracy’s trust hint at deeper schemes. The story’s sharp pacing and emotional weight are brought to life in Gould’s unmistakable art, both in story and on the cover.
