Flattop Jr. and Joe Period elude Tracy and the cops by cutting across fields and finally taking refuge in a trailer camp. Without realizing it, they leave the TV and coffee pot on all night, and it drains the car battery. When the boys replace the battery, an alert attendant calls Tracy and describes the electrical equipment in the car. Tracy and Sam make plans to capture the two outlaws.
