This anthology issue contains at least two stories: "Strange Rival," in which a young woman relaxing at Wasota Beach reflects on graduating from childhood and becoming a woman, dreaming of her future with a career in baseball, only to have her romantic interests complicated by the appearance of a man playing ball; and "Contest of Love," in which a woman named June must choose between Larry Walters, whom she has known for years, and the exciting Dan Martin, leading to a romantic rivalry that ultimately results in Johnny (apparently Dan Martin) losing interest in her and pursuing other girls, leaving her father concerned about her dating habits and her future prospects.
