☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeDennis helps his father with construction work at a golf course, creating mischief when he assists by hitting golf balls with a long pipe. Later, Dennis and his friends visit a restaurant where the waitress wears a bath robe, leading to humorous confusion about the establishment's unusual practices. The issue also includes an educational feature titled "Star Gazing Is Fun!" which explains how to identify constellations in the night sky using a new method of connecting stars, and features a story called "Star Spangled Dennis" that incorporates constellation imagery.
Dennis and his family head to a Japanese restaurant for dinner, where the boy discovers a whole new world of unfamiliar customs—no chairs, paper walls, chopsticks, and shoes left at the door. As Dennis stumbles through each surprise with his usual lack of restraint, chaos naturally follows, culminating in a mix-up that leaves everyone scrambling at the end of the meal.
When Dennis is denied his usual treats, he daydreams about a world where he'd have unlimited cookies, ice cream, soda, and candy—but his fantasy of endless sweets takes an unexpected turn. A visit from his father sets the stage for Dennis to learn a lesson about moderation the hard way.
Dennis stays up past his bedtime learning about constellations from his dad, discovering how to spot pictures hidden in the stars—twins, bears, lions, and even a flying horse. When he finally drifts off to sleep, Dennis dreams he's soaring through the night sky on that flying horse, meeting the constellation figures come to life, including Mr. O'Ryan, their garbage man, who moonlights as a celestial hunter. It's a whimsical journey through the heavens that blurs the line between imagination and reality.
