Dennis Mitchell is at his most mischievous on this 1959 cover by Al Wiseman, launching a golf ball skyward with his trusty slingshot while a pair of horrified golfers look on from the fairway behind him. With his yellow hair, red overalls, and a sandbox full of toy trucks nearby, Dennis has clearly decided the sand trap belongs to him now. It's a perfectly charming snapshot of the world's most good-natured troublemaker doing what he does best.
