Henry is to make a speech about school bonds at a PTA meeting, so he has practiced with a tape recorder. Dennis and Joey listen to the speech on the recorder and inadvertently record their own reactions to it. On the way to the meeting Henry loses his voice, so he decides to play the recorded version for the PTA, not realizing that Dennis and Joey's comments are on the tape.
