When Dennis' grandfather falls ill and Mrs. Mitchell must care for him, Dennis is left in the Wilsons’ care during the workweek—a situation Mr. Wilson dreads. With Dennis running wild through the house and his father away at work, the evenings become a test of patience, as Dennis and his dad try to keep things under control.

In "Cool+Aid," Dennis the Menace turns up the heat—literally—by convincing his family to deck out the house in full Christmas gear to beat the summer swelter. Mr. Wilson, watching from next door, can only shake his head as the absurdity unfolds, wondering just what kind of summer madness this is.
