Dengeki Daisy #5

Volume 5 of Kyousuke Motomi's Dengeki Daisy delivers the romantic tension the series does so well, with the cover showing a young woman and a dark-haired young man drawn close together in an intimate, quietly charged embrace against a warm yellow background accented by blue daisy blooms. Motomi's expressive linework gives both figures a vulnerable softness that perfectly captures the push-and-pull at the heart of this shojo series. A lovely addition to any manga shelf at a very reasonable price point.
