Jason Shiga's Demon Volume 3 arrives in this striking French edition from Cambourakis, its clean white cover punctuated by an arresting red-tinted panorama of mayhem and chaos below. A small, deceptively cheerful cartoon figure clutches a single flower while apparently leaping above a densely packed crowd of characters and urban destruction rendered in bold monochromatic red. It's a wonderfully dissonant image — innocence hovering over bedlam — that captures exactly the kind of darkly clever sensibility Shiga brings to this series.
