En una universidad inglesa, el decano Grieves expone un plan para localizar y eliminar vampiros. La detenida María Sancho revela su pasado: fue capturada por un vampiro auténtico y criada entre su clan, huyó años después y trató de rehacer su vida. La investigación policial confirma hechos inquietantes (exhumaciones, ataques), pero al final Grieves confiesa su objetivo real: como miembro de una raza vampírica distinta, desea acabar con los “vampiros humanos” para que su propio pueblo prospere.
