Debbie Dean Comics #1

This issue features two stories. The main story follows Debbie Dean, a career girl who becomes entangled in a romantic drama when a man she knew from college, who is now a boxer, unexpectedly encounters her and requests she write about his upcoming championship fight; she discovers his motivations are rooted in winning her back. The second story, "The Murders in the Rue Morgue" (adapted by Chad from Edgar Allan Poe), depicts a chance meeting between two friends in Paris who rent a room together and become fascinated by a brilliant character named C. Auguste Dupin, whose sharp mind helps the narrator solve a mysterious murder case involving bodies found in an old morgue despite an apparent absence of motive.
