DC's teen-humor series serves up a perfectly chaotic soda-fountain moment in this 1969 issue — a frazzled older woman in pink is causing quite the foamy mess at the counter while a stern-looking man named Benedict looks on disapprovingly, all as Debbi and her dark-haired friend watch the scene unfold from their stools. Samm Schwartz's cover linework captures that wonderfully exaggerated comedic energy the series does so well, and with Steve Skeates scripting "Better Date Than Never," there's every reason to expect the laughs carry right through to the final page.
