Deathstroke, the Terminator Annual #2

Part of DC's sprawling 1993 "Bloodlines" crossover event, this annual pits Deathstroke against the towering, fanged alien menace Deathstorm — and the cover by penciler Mike Zeck and inker Will Blyberg makes the threat feel genuinely dire, with the creature looming over a scrambling Deathstroke while a red-clad figure lies fallen in the foreground and a downed civilian huddles nearby. The story, "A Blaze of… Gunfire," promises plenty of action from writer Len Wein and artist Steve Erwin, a solid creative pairing for a mercenary who rarely backs down from a fight.
