Part five of six in the "Deathstroke vs. Batman" arc, and the cover by Robson Rocha and Daniel Henriques makes clear the stakes are very high — a battered, unmasked Batman lies bloodied on the ground while a triumphant Deathstroke stands over him, massive shield raised and one hand gripping his fallen opponent by the throat. That taunt — "You NEED to update your security" — lands like a cold blade, perfectly capturing the mercenary's ruthless confidence. Writer Priest and the art team of Carlo Pagulayan, Jason Paz, and Jeromy Cox have been building toward this confrontation all arc long, and issue #34 looks like the moment the pressure finally breaks.
