Deathlok #9

Two cyborg combatants clash in mid-air on this striking cover, one in dark tactical armor and the other in the red-and-silver Deathlok suit, both wielding firearms as debris explodes outward around them — a collision of machine and firepower rendered with real kinetic force by Mike Perkins and Butch Guice. Looming above the title in a small inset is a grim-faced figure leveling a gun directly at the reader, adding an extra layer of threat to an already tense composition. Nathan Edmondson's 2015 run on this series continues to find compelling new angles on Marvel's cybernetic warrior, and issue #9 looks like one of its most action-packed chapters yet.
