Lee tells his girlfriend Beth that he can’t afford to get married yet. She falls in love with Philip, an older man who owns a chain of magazines. Beth’s mother gets a make-over and flirts with Philip to expose him as “an aging playboy.” However, they fall in love and decide to wed. Beth agrees Lee will make a better husband for her.
