Deadpool MGC #1
In "One of Us Part 1," Deadpool’s chaotic brand of heroism takes center stage during a surprise alien invasion at a baseball game, where the Skrulls are baffled by strange readings from the team’s mascot. Written by Daniel Way and illustrated by Paco Medina, with inks by Juan Vlasco, colors by Marte Gracia, and letters by Chris Eliopoulos, this 2010 Marvel issue sees the merc with a mouth turn the tables on the invaders—only to deliver a shockingly unexpected offer. The cover, by Clayton Crain, captures the moment with his signature bold style.

When the Secret Invasion comes to a baseball game, the Skrulls are confused when the home team's mascot shows some weird genetic readings. That's because the guy in the suit is none other than the merc with a mouth, Deadpool, and he takes the fight directly to the alien invaders. After DP cuts his way to the Skrull commander, he shocks his enemies by offering to work for them.
