Deadpool #45
The cover of Deadpool #45 poses a question that's hard to ignore — "What Is Evil Deadpool?" — as a battered, stitched-together variant of the Merc with a Mouth looms over a pile of bruised and beaten goons, sporting a half-exposed scarred face, a smoking submachine gun, and a katana. Nick Bradshaw's cover art leans into the unsettling contrast between Deadpool's signature red-and-black suit and this patchwork, clearly wrong version of him standing triumphant against a bullet-riddled wall. With Daniel Way writing and Salva Espín on interior art, "Evil Deadpool Part One: Hello, Mr. Fancy-Pants" promises a story as wild as its cover suggests.

Deadpool and Evil Deadpool make their way from England to the United States, each in their own particular idiom. Evil Deadpool hijacks a jet and regular Deadpool stows aboard a freighter ship yet, ironically, both arrive at their destination at roughly the same time. Their destination: a chimichanga joint in New Jersey.
