Deadpool #43
Dave Johnson's cover for issue #43 perfectly sets the tone for "You Complete Me: Part One" — a smitten blonde woman hugs a Deadpool plush toy and clutches a comic signed "Wade XXX OOO," eyes closed in swooning contentment, all framed within a giant pink heart plastered with Deadpool photos. It's a genuinely charming Valentine's-style image that hints at an unconventional romance with Marvel's motor-mouthed mercenary. Daniel Way, Carlo Barberi, Walden Wong, and Jorge González bring the interior to life, promising the kind of comedic warmth this series does so well.

Deadpool has a stalker. Dr. Whitby has helped him break out of Crossmore Prison and continues to hound him as she professes her undying love (and all while dressed in a modified Deadpool costume to boot). Deadpool tries his level best to figure out how to get out of England (and away from the crazy woman) but, true to form, ends up in a motorcade chatting with the queen. Elizabeth, it turns out, is Deadpool's "Uncle Ben" and convinces him that with great power comes great responsibility. Deadpool decides to stick around and clean up his own messy love life.
