Deadpool #39
In "Operation: Annihilation Part Three: Women & Children First," Deadpool’s latest bid to end his own life takes a chaotic turn when a group of preschoolers unexpectedly interrupts his attempt to provoke the Hulk into killing him. Written by Daniel Way and brought to life by Bong Dazo’s dynamic art, with inks by Joe Pimentel and colors by Andres Mossa, this 2011 issue delivers a darkly comedic twist on the merc with a mouth’s self-destructive streak. The cover, by Dave Johnson, captures the absurd intensity of the moment.
