Deadpool #31
Deadpool has never looked more prepared — or more ridiculous — than on Dave Johnson's cover for issue #31, where the Merc with a Mouth stands bristling with wooden stakes strapped across his back, hefting a massive wooden mallet, and declaring "Let's do this!" with all the casual confidence of a man who absolutely has a plan. Tied into the "Curse of the Mutants" crossover and wrapping up "I Rule, You Suck" with a conclusion, this 2011 issue promises Daniel Way's signature blend of absurdist humor and genuine mayhem, brought to life by the interior art team of Bong Dazo, Jose Pimentel, and Andres Mossa. If the cover's improvised vampire-hunting loadout is any indication, Wade Wilson's approach to problem-solving remains wonderfully unhinged.
