The five-issue miniseries Deadman: Dead Again reaches its finale with this October 2001 closer, subtitled "Life After Death." The cover — penciled by José Luis García-López and inked by Kevin Nowlan — is a stunning composition: a ghostly white Deadman in his red acrobat's suit levitates between the massive green hands of the Spectre, whose enormous hooded face looms in the background amid crackling arcs of lightning. It's a genuinely arresting image that captures the eerie, supernatural stakes of two of DC's most compelling denizens of the afterlife sharing the same space.
