Deadly Class #28

Two silhouetted figures sit side by side in beach chairs, holding hands against a dreamy pastel horizon — a quietly tender moment that Deadly Class immediately undercuts with the enormous, ghostly skull looming in the mist behind them. Wes Craig's minimalist cover art does a lot of heavy lifting, balancing the warmth of that clasped handhold against something vast and inescapable lurking on the edge of their world. Rick Remender, Craig, and colorist Jordan Boyd continue to prove in 2017 that this series has a singular knack for making danger feel both beautiful and intimate.
