Deadly Class #26

From Rick Remender and Wes Craig, Deadly Class #26 sets its dark, moody tone right on the cover: a skull-masked figure in a white hoodie wades through flooded streets, both guns leveled directly at the viewer with unsettling calm. Jordan Boyd's stark, desaturated palette — broken only by flashes of red in those glowing goggle-lenses and the pistol grips — gives the whole image a cold, noir menace that perfectly captures the series' edge. If you've been following this Image series' brutal world of assassin schooling set against a late-'80s backdrop, issue #26 looks ready to deliver another unnerving chapter.
