“Die For Me Part Five”

Die for Me" reaches its fifth chapter with a cover from Wes Craig that needs no words to unsettle — a pale, bloodied hand reaches upward from a dark pool of crimson splatter, centered above a storm-drain grate that swallows the blood pooling around it, while scattered objects (a syringe, a boombox, playing cards) float in the red tide above. It's a stark, elegantly grim image that captures everything Rick Remender's 1988-set series does best — youth, violence, and consequence reduced to a single haunting moment. Jordan Boyd's high-contrast red-on-black palette makes this one of the series' most visually arresting covers yet.
