This third issue of Dark Horse's Deadline USA announces itself with a wonderfully absurd beach-party cover by Jim Rohn — a grinning, musclebound devil in skull-print swim trunks brandishes a cocktail and a pitchfork while four bikini-clad women lounge in front of a hellfire backdrop, sand castles and all. It's the kind of gleefully irreverent image that captured the anything-goes spirit of early-'90s alternative anthology publishing. Inside, Richard Sala — handling writing, art, inking, and lettering himself — continues "Thirteen O'Clock Chapter Six," and a music feature on Firehose rounds out this eclectic package.
