Dead Man Logan #1

The opening chapter of Ed Brisson, Mike Henderson, and Nolan Woodard's twelve-issue series wastes no time establishing its brutal tone — Declan Shalvey's cover depicts a scarred, white-haired Logan looming over a pile of bloodied, defeated bodies, claws extended and dripping red against a grim, washed-out backdrop. The image captures a version of the character who looks like he's been through hell and is still standing, which sets a fittingly grim mood for a story titled "Sins of the Father." If you're drawn to darker, more weathered takes on Wolverine, this first issue announces itself as exactly that kind of series.
