This issue contains at least two stories: one featuring a protagonist named Lefty who engages in a high-stakes card game with a skilled card manipulator named Knuckles at the Nugget Hotel, where Lefty uses a hidden slip of paper to determine the outcome and ultimately wins; and another tale involving a horseman who presents a magnificent horse as a gift to impress a senor's daughter at a fiesta, gaining favor among the locals before departing toward Santa Barbara with information about a wealthy don's travel route.
