De Kiekeboes #69

Volume 69 of Merho's beloved Belgian family comedy series finds things decidedly off the rails — the cover shows a green-jacketed young man mid-swing with a shovel, a moustachioed figure sprawled on the ground with a rifle nearby, and a wide-eyed bystander looking on in alarm amid a rubble-strewn backdrop. "Zand Erover" (roughly "Let's Bury It") promises the kind of slapstick chaos that has made De Kiekeboes a staple of Dutch-language comics for decades. A fun 2011 addition to any Flemish comics collection.
