De aantekeningen van Darwin #3

The third chapter of De aantekeningen van Darwin arrives with a cover that makes an immediate impression — Eduardo Ocaña's close-up of a gaunt, intense man with piercing blue eyes, half-wrapped in chains and rope, radiates barely contained menace against a deep crimson background. The subtitle "De aard van het beest" (The Nature of the Beast) feels perfectly suited to that haunted, feral gaze staring straight at the reader. Sylvain Runberg and Pieter van Oudheusden's collaboration with Ocaña continues to look like one of Le Lombard's more compelling offerings from 2012.
