The Justice League successfully repels an attack by Darkseid on Earth, but Darkseid returns to Apokolips with a captured Cyborg. Darkseid has discovered that Cyborg has half of the Anti-Life Equation in his system, but Darkseid's plan to retrieve it goes awry, resulting in a zombie-like plague being unleashed on Apokolips, and which is carried back to Earth by an unwitting Cyborg.
