DC Special: Cyborg #1

DC gives Victor Stone his own five-issue spotlight series with this 2008 launch, and Ken Lashley's cover makes an immediate case for why Cyborg deserves the solo treatment. The image is all kinetic force — Cyborg surges forward through a wall of flame, crackling energy blazing from one fist while mechanical enemies are crushed and scattered at his feet, his chrome-and-flesh form dominating every inch of the composition. With Mark Sable scripting and Lashley handling both pencils and inks, "Rage Against the Machine" promises a series with plenty of raw power behind it.
