DC Special #27 brings Captain Comet face-to-face with "The Incredible Dinosaur Invasion of 1977!" — and Rich Buckler and Joe Rubinstein's cover makes it impossible to look away. A red-suited Captain Comet soars through the air, blasting energy at a massive T. rex rampaging through a city street, while below, two more humans struggle desperately against a second snapping dinosaur amid the urban chaos. It's a wonderfully over-the-top premise delivered with genuine skill, making this Bob Rozakis–scripted issue a thoroughly entertaining slice of late-'70s DC adventure.
