From writer Ram V and artist Evan Cagle, this fourth issue of Dawnrunner announces itself with a genuinely unsettling cover: a massive, grotesque creature — all exposed muscle, chitinous limbs, and glowing red eyes — looms against a churning storm-grey sky, its sheer scale dwarfing everything around it. Cagle's linework gives the beast an almost geological weight, while Dave Stewart's colors pull the whole image into a moody clash of warm rust tones and cool atmospheric blues. If the series has been building toward something monstrous, this cover suggests issue four is very much that moment of reckoning.
