Joseph Michael Linsner writes, illustrates, and colors this penultimate chapter of the Dawn/Vampirella crossover, and his cover says everything about the tension building in the series: Dawn and Vampirella stand side by side — wrists bound in chains — surrounded by a mound of skulls and defeated warriors, while a towering mechanical skeletal figure looms ominously behind them. Despite their captivity, both women face the viewer with quiet defiance rather than fear, giving the image a mood that's more smoldering than desperate. "…Like Thoughts Inside a Dream" promises the kind of dark, mythic atmosphere that makes this 2015 Dynamite series a treat for fans of both characters.
