☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeDavy Crockett faces two concurrent challenges: he helps defend a wagon train led by Henry Owens against an attack by outlaw Philippe Batiste, during which Davy Jr. and Jed Turner assist from inside the wagons, and he simultaneously aids a Delaware man named Ben Norton who is being pursued by Huron braves led by Martok. In the wagon train conflict, Davy coordinates a defense that thwarts Batiste's assault, and Davy Jr. hands Davy Crockett a powder horn as a memento. In the separate frontier storyline, Chinook helps Ben escape from Martok's captivity by using a fire as a diversion for their mutual escape.
Young Davy Crockett travels north to Pennsylvania to track down master gunsmith Otto Schneider, determined to own one of his legendary rifles after losing a shooting match to a friend carrying one of Schneider's pieces. After earning the money through fur trapping and proving his marksmanship to the craftsman, Davy returns to the frontier with his prized new rifle—only to find himself challenged by a boastful local bully named Bull Munson at a fair day competition. With his Pennsylvania rifle under his arm, Davy must prove that skill and character matter more than swagger.
